Repairing a wooden fence can involve several methods depending on the type and extent of the damage. For minor issues, such as loose boards or nails, simply tightening or replacing these components can restore structural integrity. In cases of rot or decay, the affected panels can be removed and replaced with new wood, ensuring to treat the new sections with sealant to prevent future deterioration. If the fence is leaning, it may require adjusting the post anchors or adding support braces to stabilise it. Depending on the direction of the lean this may be a temporary repair as the braces may need to go on your neighbours garden before more extensive repairs of replacement is carried out. Regular maintenance, including cleaning, staining, and sealing, can also prolong the life of your wooden fence but sometime a replacement is the only safe option.
